The position offers local pay of $98.40–$109 per hour on a 1099 basis, with opportunities for professional growth within a correctional healthcare setting. Qualifications

• Current, valid North Carolina license/certification for Physician Assistant.
• Minimum of 2 years+ of recent Physician Assistant experience.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board if required.
• Copy of current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Conduct physical examinations, review medical histories, and order or interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate.
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications in accordance with regulations.
• Educate patients on conditions, medications, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate quality care.
• Follow established clinical standards and safety protocols.

Shift Details:

• Full time - 40 hrs a week

Physician Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Conduct physical examinations, review medical histories, and order or interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate.
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
• Educate patients on their conditions, medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate quality patient care.
• Follow established clinical standards, safety protocols, and applicable regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted North Carolina license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 2 years +of recent experience as a Physician Assistant
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,..)
