Job summary

Gannon University seeks an Assistant Professor/Clinical Coordinator for the Physician Assistant Program in Ruskin, Florida. The twelve-month, either tenure-track or teaching-track position begins as early as September 2026.

Responsibilities include developing clinical sites, supervising clinical year students, preparing exams, and guiding graduate research. The candidate will teach, advise, work collaboratively, support interprofessional education, and participate in service to the university,

Qualifications

• Master PA-S degree (or MD/DO) required; 3–5 years of full-time clinical experience.
• Current NCCPA certification; eligible for PA/MD/DO licensure in Florida.
• Post-professional doctorate is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop clinical sites; supervise clinical year students.
• Prepare student examinations and provide research guidance to graduate students.
• Teach, advise students, collaborate with colleagues, and engage in service activities.

Education

Master of Physician Assistant Science degree (or MD/DO)

NCCPA certification

Florida PA/MD/DO licensure eligibility

Post-professional doctorate (PhD, DSc, DHSc, EdD) desired

Teaching/clinical preceptor experience preferred

Research experience preferred
