Job summary

Henry Ford Health System is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team at Henry Ford Macomb. This role focuses on perioperative management, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, surgical first assist duties, and postoperative planning.

Weekend coverage and on-call are required, with at least 1 year of CT OR experience. Qualified candidates must be a PA graduate from an ARC-PA accredited program, hold NCCPA certification, and have or be eligible for

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year cardiothoracic operating room experience.
• PA graduate from an accredited program (ARC-PA accredited).
• National NCCPA certification is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required (ACLS may be obtained after hire).
• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in Michigan, or in the process of applying.

Qualifications

• PA graduate from an accredited program
• National certification (NCCPA)
• BLS required; ACLS required (or obtained after hire)

Credentials:

Physician Assistant (PA):Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)

Licensure

Current licensureas a Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required).

Certification

PA:Certification by theNational Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Required Certifications
