Job summary

Essen Health Care in New York is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner with at least one year of outpatient cardiology experience to support a growing cardiovascular service line in our outpatient setting.

You will work with cardiologists and clinical staff to assess patients, order and review tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and educate patients on disease management, all while documenting in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active New York Nurse Practitioner license.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient cardiology NP experience required.
• Board certification through ANCC or AANP is required.
• Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain one is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and risk stratification.
• Manage patients with hypertension, heart failure, CAD, arrhythmias, and lipids.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests: EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, labs.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with cardiology physicians.
• Prescribe medications and adjust therapies per guidelines.
• Educate patients on disease management and lifestyle changes.
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR.
• Coordinate care with imaging and referring providers.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and protocols.

Job Summary

Job Summary: We are seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner with at least one year of outpatient cardiology experience to support a growing cardiology service line. This role works collaboratively with cardiologists and clinical staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history, physical exams, and risk stratification

• Manage and follow patients with cardiac conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and hyperlipidemia

• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, labs)

• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiology physicians

• Prescribe medications and adjust therapies in accordance with evidence-based guidelines

• Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence

• Document clinical encounters accurately in the electronic medical record

• Coordinate care with referring providers, imaging, and ancillary services

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols

Qualifications

Required

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in NY

• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient cardiology Nurse Practitioner experience

• Board certification (ANCC or AANP)

• Active DEA (or eligibility to obtain)

• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease management

• Excellent communication and clinical judgment skills

Preferred

• Experience in outpatient cardiology or multispecialty practices

• Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems

• Experience managing high-volume patient panels
