Job summary

Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina is seeking a Part- or Full-Time Physician Assistant to join our Medical Dermatology/Mohs Surgery practice in Wake Forest, NC. The role offers flexible schedules (3-5 days per week) and a supportive, mentorship‑driven environment.

You will assess and manage a broad range of dermatologic conditions, perform procedures, and collaborate with physicians to deliver excellent patient care, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to patient care and building long-term patient relationships.
• Ability to see patients independently and know when to seek guidance.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of medical dermatology conditions.
• Perform skin cancer screenings and skin examinations.
• Diagnose and manage common dermatologic disorders.
• Perform biopsies, cryotherapy, and other office-based procedures.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and skin cancer prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Educate patients regarding medical dermatology, dermatologic oncology, Mohs procedures and reconstructive surgery services.
• Coordinate care with referring providers and specialists as needed.

Qualifications:

• Physician Assistant licensure in North Carolina (or eligibility to attain licensure)
• Strong commitment to patient care and a talent for building long-term patient relationships
• Ability to see patients independently and a good understanding of when to request guidance
• Strong communication skills with excellent clinical judgment
• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in Medical Dermatology, and/ or Mohs practice
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
