Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant to provide care for client employees and dependents at the Health Center in Thief River Falls, MN. The role emphasizes primary care with light occupational health in a collaborative team setting.

You will conduct exams, manage care plans, educate patients, and coordinate with physicians. A strong certification portfolio and ongoing professional development are valued, with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.
• NCCPA national certification is required.
• ARC-PA accredited program degree is required.
• Federal DEA license for practice as applicable.
• BLS certification; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines and approved agreements.
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, growth and development.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice.
• Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable).
• Current NCCPA national certification required.
• Degree from ARC-PA accredited program.
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $120,000.00 - $155,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
