  • Clinical rotations span Medical ICU, Heme/Onc ICU, Cardiothoracic Critical Care, Neurocritical Care, Anesthesia, Interventional Pulmonology, Hematology/Oncology, Nephrology, Palliative Care, Infectious Disease and Hospital Medicine.
  • Didactic curriculum includes monthly core lectures, group education, journal clubs and workshops.
  • Active participation in a year-long fellowship program with supervision, mentorship and assessments.

Job Summary

The program includes a diverse realm of clinical rotations, a robust didactic curriculum and opportunities to learn from skilled APPs, physicians, clinical pharmacists, nurses and other support staff.

Clinical Curriculum

Clinical rotations include:

  • Medical ICU
  • Heme/Onc ICU
  • Cardiothoracic Critical Care
  • Neurocritical Care
  • Anesthesia

  • Hematology/Oncology
  • Nephrology
  • Palliative Care
  • Infectious Disease
  • Hospital Medicine

Didactic Curriculum

  • Monthly Critical Care APP Fellowship core lecture series
  • Monthly HICU / MICU APP group education meeting
  • Monthly HICU / MICU APP group journal club.
  • 1 week “hospital Medicine boot camp” put on by the Hospital Medicine APC fellowship
  • Procedural and skills‑based workshops to be assigned.
  • Additional opportunities: Weekly Physician Fellows conference, Weekly Pulmonary Grand Rounds, Daily informal MICU teaching

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant from the State of Utah.
  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Preferred:

  • Certification in ACLS / BLS / NRP / ATLS may be required by your department or by privileging criteria.
Additional Requirements

This position is patient‑sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. Timeline and How to Apply: Interviews will be held in early summer with a fall (October/November) anticipated start date. Two fellows will be selected annually.
