This role focuses on physical medicine and rehabilitation, collaborating with therapists, nurses, and other clinicians to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that restore function and independence for patients with diverse rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications

Active Licensed to practice in the state of which employed.
Current DEA license required on start date.
NCCPA certification required.
Commitment to Physiatry/PM&R.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other professionals to develop and implement rehabilitation plans.
Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine goals and interventions.
Monitor progress and adjust plans to optimize functional outcomes.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and education activities.
Maintain accurate EMR documentation of evaluations, plans, progress, and discharges.
Educate patients and families about rehabilitation process and post-discharge care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with diverse rehabilitation needs
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations, to determine appropriate rehabilitation goals and interventions
Monitor patient progress closely and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize functional outcomes and promote independence
Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and educational activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of initial evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in electronic medical records systems
Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding the rehabilitation process, expected outcomes, and post-discharge care
