Position Summary:
The Trauma/Acute Care Surgery and Orthopedic Physicians Assistant is responsible for providing and coordinating care for Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Orthopedic Patients at CHMC, ensuring they receive optimal care throughout hospitalization. The primary goal is to ensure trauma patients receive quality care, acting as an expert clinician, consultant, change agent, educator, and quality improvement agent. The PA collaborates with Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, ancillary personnel, patients, and families to foster an interdisciplinary team approach. The PA reports directly to the Trauma Program Director, with a reporting link to the Trauma Medical Director. They contribute to developing standardized procedures and protocols to help meet departmental goals.
