Job summary

Mission Mobile Medical is seeking a Physician Assistant for its Mobile Health Program based in San Jose, CA. This role involves delivering proactive, community-centered primary care on wheels and traveling with the mobile clinic team to nearby locations.

The PA will lead preventive care, manage chronic diseases, and document patient records using EHR systems while collaborating with physicians and nurses to expand access to care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, with NCCPA certification.
• California PA licensure or eligibility with collaborative practice agreement.
• Clinical experience in primary care or community health preferred.
• Experience with EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and treat acute and chronic illnesses in primary care.
• Take medical histories and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and manage treatment plans for chronic diseases.
• Maintain patient records using EHR systems.

General Tasks

• Primary Care Services: Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and provide routine primary care to improve patient health outcomes.
• Patient Assessments: Take medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Chronic Disease Management: Develop and manage treatment plans for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Administrative Duties: Include but not limited to assisting with opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payment, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Preventive Care: Administer vaccinations, conduct health screenings, and educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
• Collaboration: Work with supervising physicians, nurses, and medical assistants to deliver
• Community Outreach: Participate in outreach activities to raise awareness about the mobile clinic’s services and engage with the community.

• Education :
• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, with current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification.
• Currently licensed or eligible for California PA licensure, with a collaborative practice agreement in place
• Experience:
• Clinical experience in primary care or community health preferred
• Experience with EHR preferred

100% Onsite – PA is expected to travel with the mobile clinic team to nearby mobile health locations. This role is based out of San Jose, CA.

• 80 PTO hours available after the first 60 days of service

• 401K – 120 days eligibility is fully vested with up to a 4% match
• Weekly payday, every Friday
