Mission Mobile Medical is seeking a Physician Assistant for our Mobile Health Program based in San Jose, CA. The role travels with the mobile clinic team 100% onsite and serves communities with primary care, chronic disease management, preventive care, and outreach.

Responsibilities include conducting exams, ordering tests, maintaining EHRs, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to deliver comprehensive care. CA licensure and NCCPA certification required; collaboration agreement in place.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certification are required.
• Current California PA licensure or eligibility with a collaborative practice agreement is required.
• Bilingual abilities are preferred.

General Tasks

• Primary Care Services: Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and provide routine primary care to improve patient health outcomes.
• Patient Assessments: Take medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Chronic Disease Management: Develop and manage treatment plans for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Administrative Duties: Include but not limited to assisting with opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payment, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Preventive Care: Administer vaccinations, conduct health screenings, and educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
• Collaboration: Work with supervising physicians, nurses, and medical assistants to deliver comprehensive care.

• Community Outreach: Participate in outreach activities to raise awareness about the mobile clinic’s services and engage with the community.
• Actively participating in leadership-level planning for the best growth opportunities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education:
• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, with current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification.
• Currently licensed or eligible for California PA licensure, with a collaborative practice agreement in place

Experience

• Clinical experience in primary care or community health preferred
• Experience with EHR preferred
• Bi-lingual preferred

Work Environment

100% Onsite – PA is expected to travel with the mobile clinic team to nearby mobile health locations. This role is based out of San Jose, CA.

Salary & Benefits

• 80 PTO hours available after the first 60 days of service
• Medical insurance – 100% employer contribution, participating plans
• $10K Life insurance – 100% employer contribution

• 401K – 120 days eligibility is fully vested with up to a 4% match
• Weekly payday, every FridayQuarterly profit sharing, up to 20% of annual wages, and an Open Book Management organization
