Job summary

Gowithzealmed is seeking an Anesthesiologist for a locum-tenens assignment in San Antonio, TX. The role requires pediatric fellowship, active Texas license, and BLS, with the provider handling their own cases and ensuring case log compliance for neonates.

The assignment spans 6 months with a 5×8 shift and a strong emphasis on pediatric case mix including neonates, using Epic EMR. Competitive hourly pay and weekly payroll are provided.

Qualifications

• Active Texas State License required.
• BLS certification required.
• 2+ years of pediatric and neonatal anesthesia experience.
• Pediatric fellowship required.
• Board certification in Anesthesiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for pediatric and neonatal patients.
• Manage own cases independently.
• Attend Epic training and complete testing as required.

Anesthesiologist – Locum Tenens | San Antonia, TX

Position Overview

• Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
• Start: ASAP after credentialing
• Length of contract: 6 months
• Shift: 5×8. Need to offer 2 weeks minimum. Full time preferred.
• Types of cases: PEDS + Neonates MUST MEET CASE LOG REQUIREMENTS BELOW
• EMR: Epic
• Clinician will be required to attend Epic training and/or test out
• Requirements:Pediatric fellowship required.
• Provider will be doing their own cases
• For Neonate (less than 60 weeks old) credentials at CHOSA: 15 cases are needed

• What are the average # of patients per day? 20-30
• What are the required procedures? Ortho, ENT, general, dental, radiology, GI, neuro spine and head
