Job summary

Odyssey Locums is seeking a Board-certified Pediatric Anesthesia Physician for a full-time locums role near Houston, TX. The successful candidate will provide pediatric anesthesia for a large tertiary program and supervise 1–3 ORs within a care team model.

Shift times include 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with pager call on weeknights and weekends. Opportunities include paid housing and travel, tail coverage, and a referral bonus for placements meeting hours.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Anesthesiology with pediatric experience.
• 2+ years of pediatric anesthesia experience with case logs.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric anesthesia for a large tertiary program.
• Supervise 1–3 ORs under a care team model on-site.
• Cover shifts 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; pager call on weeknights/weekends.

The Role:

Pediatric Anesthesia Physician Needed near Houston, TX

• Full-Time Locums Physician needed
• Target Start Date: 11/1/2026 for at least 1 year.
• Emergency Privs available with clean file.
• Board Certified, no fellowship required. Must have at least 2 years of peds experience and have case logs to support.
• Shift Type: 7:00AM-3:00PM; 7:00AM-5:00PM;
• Pager Call: Mix of weeknights and weekends.
• Cases: Large tertiary surgical program with Obstetric coverage and dedicated Cardiovascular call support
• Are MDs supervising CRNAs: Yes — On-site expectations include supervising 1 to 3 ORs under a care team model
