Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a locum tenens physician with extensive anesthesia experience to cover a range of cases including adult, pediatric, neonatal, and trauma, with spinal, epidural, and regional techniques. The assignment involves scheduled hours and call coverage across demanding surgical settings.

Travel and housing are prepaid; malpractice insurance is provided. The role requires flexibility for a fast-paced schedule and availability for online portal time entries.

Qualifications

• General anesthesia experience required across adult, pediatric, neonatal, and trauma cases
• Spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia required
• Obstetrical and neurosurgical cases required
• Open heart, thoracic, and complex orthopedic cases required
• Pain management with post‑op epidural and epidural steroid required
• Central line and arterial line placement required

Responsibilities

• Scheduled clinical hours plus call coverage
• Approximately 10 patients per day
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
• Assignment details and time entry in online portal
• 24-hour access to Weatherby Healthcare consultant
• Charter member of NALTO

• Scheduled clinical hours plus call coverage
• Approximately 10 patients per day -- about 2 calls per shift
