This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), which offers student loan repayment assistance. Eligibility requirements apply, and applications must be submitted within four months of appointment.
The Staff Anesthesiologist provides veteran-centered, evidence-based anesthesia care at VA Puget Sound Health Care System, including Seattle and American Lake Veterans Hospital facilities. Responsibilities include pre-operative assessments, intra-operative care using MAC, regional, and general anesthesia, post-operative care, and participation in critical care teams. The role involves acting as a consultant for cardiac and respiratory issues, providing emergency care, and participating in staff meetings and morbidity/mortality reviews.
Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Must meet basic requirements including a medical degree from an accredited institution, a valid unrestricted medical license, completion of residency training in an approved program, and proficiency in English. Preferred qualifications include fellowship training in CT anesthesia, Critical Care Medicine, or Acute Pain/Regional Anesthesia.
