Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Physician Advisor to lead resource and utilization management, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality care within the hospital setting. You will collaborate with medical staff leadership and resident physicians to optimize care, documentation, coding, and compliance, while delivering periodic reports to leadership and committees.

MD/DO Physician must have; the role focuses on peer reviews, care management protocols, and education of medical staff on UM

Qualifications

• MD/DO Physician must have.
• Experience in utilization management or care coordination is desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication and collaboration with medical staff expected.

Responsibilities

• Status determinations for hospitalized patients.
• Peer-to-peer reviews with payors’ medical directors.
• Short inpatient stay reviews and daily observation reviews.
• Build relationships with medical staff and leadership to gain buy-in on UM issues.
• Attend UM Committees as a subject matter expert.
• Educate medical staff on UM topics and collaborate with UR nurses and Case Management.
