WVU Medicine is seeking an Advanced Heart Failure physician to join the Department of Cardiology in Morgantown, WV. The role involves practicing in advanced heart failure, teaching medical students, and delivering patient care. West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Cardiology seek an Advanced Heart Failure physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Duties

• Practice in the areas of cardiology and advanced heart failure, including cardiogenic shock, cardiac transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support.
• Provide excellent patient care and be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree, or foreign equivalent, and eligibility for a state medical license.
• Completion of an internal medicine residency program.
• Completion of a cardiovascular disease, and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology fellowship program.
• Board certification or eligibility in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
