Job summary

The WVU Medicine Heart and Vascular Institute’s Department of Cardiology seeks an Advanced Heart Failure physician to practice in Morgantown, WV. Rank may be Assistant, Associate, or Professor, with duties in heart failure, transplantation, and mechanical support, and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Occasional clinical coverage at additional sites in WV, MD, and PA may be required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligibility for state medical license.
• Completed internal medicine residency, cardiovascular disease fellowship, and advanced heart failure/transplant cardiology fellowship programs.

Responsibilities

• Practice in cardiology and advanced heart failure, including cardiogenic shock, transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows as part of the academic mission.
