Job summary

Pain Institute of Georgia in Macon, GA, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Interventional Pain Management Physician for a 100% outpatient, Mon–Fri practice with no call.

You will work with neuromodulation, minimally invasive spine procedures, and regenerative therapies, with access to an Ambulatory Surgery Center and on-site Aqua Therapy and PT. This is a physician-led organization with leadership growth opportunities and potential for partnership.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an Accredited Institution is required.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, or PM&R.
  • Active Georgia Medical License or ability to obtain.
  • DEA Registration.
  • Fellowship Training in Pain Management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain.
  • Utilize multidisciplinary treatment strategies including neuromodulation and minimally invasive spine procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver outpatient care.

Position Summary

The Interventional Pain Physician will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions using comprehensive and multidisciplinary treatment strategies.

This physician will have the opportunity to build a thriving practice while utilizing the latest advances in pain medicine, including neuromodulation, minimally invasive spine procedures, and regenerative therapies.

  • Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS)
  • Intrathecal Pain Pump Trials & Implants
  • Intravertebral Disc Augmentation
  • Basivertebral Nerve Ablation
  • Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression (MILD)
  • Emerging and Innovative Pain Procedures
  • Orthotic services are highly encouraged as an ancillary offering to support improved patient outcomes, mobility, and functional restoration.
  • Comprehensive opioid stewardship through continuous monitoring of the BRE Program for patients prescribed opioid and narcotic pain medications.
  • Electrodiagnostic testing capabilities to complement the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of nerve-related pathologies.

Qualifications
Required
  • MD or DO from an Accredited Institution
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in:

Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in neurology, pain management, or related specialty.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state or region.
  • Proven experience in managing spine, pain, and neurological conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of current medical technologies and treatment protocols in pain and neuro care.
