Job summary

SteadyMD is seeking Physician Assistants for a fully remote, 1099 contractor role focused on virtual patient care across urgent care, primary care, weight management and more. The position offers flexible hours and majority asynchronous encounters, with compensation around $60/hour.

Candidates must be licensed in at least 5 states (California required) and board-certified by NCCPA, with 2 years of independent PA practice and telemedicine experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active PA license in at least 5 states; California license required
• Board certification by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
• Minimum 2 years of in-person, independent PA practice
• 1 year experience in weight loss medicine preferred (GLP-1 agents)
• Telemedicine or virtual care experience preferred
• Must be licensed in the state you live in

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care across SteadyMD’s programs via telehealth (urgent care, weight management, primary care)
• Evaluate patients via video, phone (scheduled and on-demand), and asynchronous messages
• Serve a diverse patient population with evidence-based care
• Maintain compassionate, patient-centered care delivery
• Coordinate with remote monitoring and lab reviews
• Ensure licensure compliance and malpractice tail coverage
• Focus on patient care; administrative work handled by SteadyMD
• Support startup-driven healthcare innovation

Position Overview:

• Role: Physician Assistant for Virtual Patient Care

• Visit types: A combination of asynchronous and synchronous [majority async]

• Location: Fully Remote

• Compensation: Approximately $60/hour

  • Important Note: This is a 1099 contractor opportunity, provided that, this classification and rate of pay are subject to change based on the clinicians state of residence, applicable state employment and worker classification regulations, and the clinicians availability and involvement with SteadyMD, to ensure compliance with state-specific labor and wage requirements.

Responsibilities Include:

• Deliver patient care across SteadyMD’s programs, including but not limited to: urgent care, weight management, lab review, remote patient monitoring and primary care.

• Conduct evaluations via video, phone (both scheduled and on-demand), and asynchronous communication with patients of all ages (adults and pediatrics).

• Serve a diverse patient population while exemplifying inclusivity and evidence-based clinical practices.

• Maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care delivery.

• Active Physician Assistant (PA) license in at least 5 states, must be licensed in the state of California (CA)

• Must be licensed in the state you live in

• Board Certified, specifically NCCPA

• 2 years of in-person, independent practice experience as a PA

  • 1-year experience in weight loss medicine, including prescribing GLP1 agonists preferred.

  • Background in Internal or Family Medicine preferred

  • Comfortable with complex chronic condition management preference

• Telemedicine or virtual care experience is preferred

• Fully Remote work with flexible hours

• Focus on patient care and leave the administrative work to us
