Physical Therapy Technician PRN (20 hours or less per week) - SERC Harrisonville

SERC Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is looking for a Physical Therapy Technician to join our team in Harrisonville, MO

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT/PTA or OT/OTA, the technician will provide limited assistance to therapists with patient activities consistent with the scope of the Missouri Physical Therapy Practice Act. This position is responsible for supporting the mission, vision and values of SERC Physical & Hand Therapy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide limited assistance to therapists with patient activities under the direct supervision of a licensed PT/PTA or OT/OTA.
• Perform laundry tasks including washing, drying, and folding; clean tables between patient use; stock carts with towels, pillowcases, etc.; clean exercise equipment at least once a day and more frequently as warranted; assist in maintaining the tidiness of the clinic including emptying trash, vacuuming, and straightening up the waiting room.
• Handle phone operations, take referrals, schedule patients, document cancellations, no-shows, and reschedules, collect co-pays, and locate necessary supplies and paperwork.
• Assist and prepare patients for treatment with various therapy exercises and equipment.
• Communicate effectively and follow written and oral instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
