SERC Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is looking for a Physical Therapy Technician to join our team in Harrisonville, MO

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT/PTA or OT/OTA, the technician will provide limited assistance to therapists with patient activities consistent with the scope of the Missouri Physical Therapy Practice Act. This position is responsible for supporting the mission, vision and values of SERC Physical & Hand Therapy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide limited assistance to therapists with patient activities consistent with the scope of the Missouri Physical Therapy Practice Act.
2. Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding; clean tables between patient use; stock carts with towels, pillowcases, etc.; clean exercise equipment at least once a day and assist with maintaining the tidiness of the clinic, including emptying trash, vacuuming, and straightening up the waiting room.
3. Answer phones, take referrals, schedule patients, document cancellations and no-shows, process co-pays, locate supplies, and assist with patient chart management.
4. Communicate effectively, understand physical therapy equipment and care, follow written and oral instructions, and assist and prepare patients for treatment with various therapy exercises and equipment.
5. Other duties as assigned.
