Job summary

Utah Cancer Specialists is seeking a Patient Care Support role to assist with supervised exercises, setup of therapeutic modalities, and vital signs. The role also supports administrative tasks like scheduling and payments, and helps maintain a clean, well-organized clinic environment.

You will work closely with therapists and clinic staff to ensure patients receive attentive, compassionate care and a smooth treatment experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with supervised exercises and functional activities as prescribed by the physical therapist.

• Obtain manual blood pressure readings and check oxygen levels and heart rate on arrival and during treatment.

Description

Patient Care Support:

• assist patients with supervised exercises and functional activities as prescribed by the physical therapist
• set up patients on hot/cold packs along with electrical stimulation or other modalities as directed by the therapist
• obtain manual blood pressure readings and check oxygen levels and heart rate upon patient arrival and throughout treatment as directed by the physical therapist (training provided)

Administrative Tasks:

• assist with patient scheduling, check-ins, and phone calls when needed
• collect payments and manage service summary tracker

Clinic and Equipment Management:

• prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after sessions
• clean and disinfect equipment and treatment spaces
• stock supplies and maintain general cleanliness
• clean and fold laundry throughout the day
• additional cleaning at the end of the clinic day (more specific details upon hiring)
