Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA is seeking a Rehab Technician to support licensed therapists by performing nonprofessional therapy functions. You will assist in setup, cleaning, and maintenance of therapeutic equipment and may handle patient transport as needed.

Required: High School Diploma or GED and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) with 30 days to obtain. Preferred: Rehab Tech course or Certified Rehab Tech.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed therapist with nonprofessional therapy functions.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Rehab Technician contributes to high quality, patient-centered care by performing nonprofessional supportive therapy functions, under the direct supervision of licensed therapist. The Rehab Technician assists in the setup, cleaning, and maintenance of therapeutic equipment. The Rehab Technician accepts other responsibilities as needed, including patient transport, departmental clerical duties, inventory maintenance, and other assigned tasks.

What qualifications you will need:

Required:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Preferred:

• Completion of Rehab Tech course
• Certified Rehab Tech

Hours: PRN shifts will be 8 hour shifts that vary between 7:30am-4:30pm with one weekend per month required.
