Job summary

HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to join our patient-centered care team on a PRN basis. You will deliver individualized exercises, assistive devices training, and rehabilitation plans to help patients regain mobility and independence.

In this role, you’ll work with licensed PTs and the care team to monitor progress, document responses, and support a culture of excellence. BLS within 30 days and Florida licensure required.

Qualifications

• Active Florida LPTA license
• BLS within 30 days of hire
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
• No travel required

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to ensure safe, effective care
• Teach patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs
• Work closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function

• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs
• Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
• Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree
