HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, FL is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to improve patients' mobility and independence through individualized care, under the supervision of licensed PTs, with supportive resources and scheduling flexibility.

You will deliver therapeutic exercises, apply modalities, monitor progress, and teach home exercise programs, while collaborating with nurses and the care team to uphold a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) required with active license.
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistance or equivalent.
• BCLS certification within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsabilités

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Apply physical therapy modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses for safe, effective care.
• Teach patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility

• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function

• Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care

• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs

• Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence

What qualifications you will need:

• (LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant

• Associate Degree

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
