Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital, part of Piedmont, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will help deliver physical therapy modalities and treatments per the prescribed plan to promote independence across all age groups.

Required is an Associate’s degree from an approved PTA program, GA PTA license (or compact privileges) on hire, and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Georgia PTA license or current Compact Privileges on hire; BCLS certification.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy for all age groups under supervision of a physical therapist.
• Implement treatment modalities and procedures per treatment plan to enable patients to reach the highest level of physical independence.

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapy Assistant, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy for all age groups, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy. Responsible for providing physical therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by the physical therapist to enable the patient to reach the highest level of physical independence.
