Job summary

Lassen Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Susanville, CA seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to support PTs in helping residents regain motion and function. You will implement prescribed exercises, assist with modalities, and monitor progress in a compassionate, patient-centered setting.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, educate families on home programs, ensure safety, and maintain a clean, compliant therapy area.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, activities, and modalities as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate residents and families on home exercise programs and safety precautions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
