Job summary

Qualifications

• Current PTA licensure required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Ability to read, write and converse in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per physician orders and plan of care.
• Take measurements and assess patient status within licensure limits.
• Maintain communication with the evaluating physical therapist to maximize therapy benefits.
• Implement education plan and address patient education needs as they arise.
• Follow discharge plan and discuss additional discharge concerns with the therapist.
• Communicate with patient, family, caregivers and healthcare team to maximize care benefits.
• Measure progress and adjust treatment with the therapist to achieve goals.
