Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is offering a Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position in a Skilled Nursing Facility, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a supportive team of therapists. Require graduate of an accredited PTA program and NY PTA license; experience in geriatric care is preferred but new grads are encouraged to apply.

You will follow plans of care, document progress, and help residents regain independence at our Brooklyn facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current New York State PTA License.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred; new grads encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage; assist with exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among the healthcare team.
