Sigma Health Rehab is excited to offer a Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position in a Skilled Nursing Facility with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. We seek graduates of an accredited PTA program who hold a NY PTA license and may have experience in geriatric care. New grads with fieldwork are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current New York State PTA License.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred; new graduates with fieldwork encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document on resident performance.
• Treat residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage, assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Maintains Resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program

Current New York State PTA License
