Job summary

Comfort Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. New-grad friendly and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist, you will help patients recover mobility and function.

You will implement treatment plans, provide direct patient care, educate families, and maintain documentation while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or certification as a PTA.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and human physiology.
• Proficiency in providing patient care with a rehabilitation focus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises and manual therapy as directed.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home care strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and progress per facility policies.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
