Job summary

Santa Cruz Post Acute in California is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, strength, balance and independence.

We offer full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities with flexible scheduling and a comprehensive benefits package. California license required; SNF experience preferred, but new grads are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• CA PTA license required.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
• SNF experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct physical therapy treatments under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, mobility programs, and functional activities.
• Document daily treatment sessions and resident progress as required.
• Collaborate with the therapy team and nursing staff to meet resident goals.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and mobility safety.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and standards.
