Job summary

WeCare at Sugar Creek Care Center is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Franklin, PA. The PTA will assist the physical therapist in improving residents' mobility and function, while ensuring safety and quality of care.

The position supports therapy plans, patient preparation, and progress documentation. The role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and a current State PTA license, with outpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA Program.
• Current State PTA License.
• Outpatient experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Preparing patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching, applying modalities, and functional mobility training.
• Recording patient's reaction to treatment and providing status reports at the end of each treatment.
• Using assistive devices and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.

Education
