Job summary

OrthoAtlanta is seeking a licensed or eligible Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver skilled therapy under physician orders in a fast-paced orthopedic setting. You will guide patients through home programs, monitor progress, and document outcomes while maintaining compliant records.

You will work with a supportive team to ensure accurate documentation, treatment charges, and timely discharge planning, with opportunities for ongoing learning and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare or related field.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current Georgia PTA license or eligibility to obtain.
• Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures.
• Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled physical therapy treatments per physician orders and plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Instruct patients on home exercise programs and post-discharge care.
• Document treatments, progress, and discharge planning accurately and timely.
• Maintain confidential and compliant patient records.
• Record treatment charges and complete documentation daily.
• Assist in maintaining clean, organized treatment areas and equipment.
• Provide support to Physical Therapy Aides as needed.
• Respond appropriately to urgent or emergent situations per protocol.
• Offer occasional administrative support including answering phones and scheduling patients.
