Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. You will assist in planning and delivering patient‑centered therapy under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, helping patients improve function.

The role requires graduation from an approved PTA program and Florida licensure; two years of outpatient orthopedic experience are preferred.

• Two years of outpatient orthopedic experience preferred.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organization and implementation of treatment programs under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• May supervise support personnel as part of daily operations.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Assists in the planning, organization and implementation of specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of safe and competent physical therapy as ordered by a physician and under the direction of a physical therapist. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team. May supervise work of support personnel.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program.

Required Experience:

Preferred: 2 years treating patients in an outpatient orthopedic setting.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

Current Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Florida.
