Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, part of Lifepoint Rehabilitation, seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for days/PRN with flexible scheduling. Join a 26-bed hospital serving Ulysses, KS, with opportunities for growth, tuition assistance, and support for professional development.

Under supervision, you will execute rehabilitation plans, communicate patient progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality care in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant/PTA program with an associate degree.
• Current state licensure as PTA in applicable states.
• CPR certification when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, compassionate care in a team setting under PTA supervision.
• Implement patient Care Plans for rehabilitation and assist participation.
• Communicate progress to supervisor and other team members; assist with scheduling and record entries.
• Document care per regulatory and payer requirements.
• Educate family/nursing staff on follow-through programs.
• Maintain safe, clean equipment and work area.

What Will You Do In This Role

• Work in a team where you will provide quality, compassionate care in a secure setting
• Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, you will implement the patient's Care Plan for rehabilitation. Help mentally and/or physically impaired patients to participate in tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance their performance
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow‑through programs
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant/PTA program culminating in an associate degree is required.
• Current state licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant/PTA or equivalent in the states where services are rendered is required.
• CPR certification (when required)
