Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) for a PRN role at Kindred Hospital East New Jersey, a long-term acute care facility. The position offers an hourly rate of $35.00–$38.00 and requires NJ PTA licensure and BLS.

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will implement treatment plans, monitor progress, document patient responses, and educate patients and families while assisting with discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required.

We partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. We are located close to transit bus and train lines and major highways, including I-95, and Garden State Parkway NJ-3 and NJ-21.

How You'll Contribute

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover and maintain physical mobility/function.

Essential Functions

• Implement treatment plan developed by supervising therapists using appropriate modalities.
• Seeks consultation as necessary. Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan.
• Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist. Documents services provided and patient response/progress. Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Assists with patient discharge planning.
• Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.

Additional Information

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Education: Associate's degree Required;
• Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required
