Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) in California to join our team at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. You will implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, educate patients and families, and assist with discharge planning.

A CA PTA license, an Associate's degree, and BLS are required. Weekend workload of at least 16 hours per month is included, with growth opportunities and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using modalities and seeks consultation as necessary.

• Assists with discharge planning and guidance on adaptive equipment and community support programs.

How you’ll contribute

As a Physical Therapy Assistant who excels in this role:

• Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks
  consultation as necessary.
• Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
  Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Assists with patient discharge planning. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
