Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our outpatient 1:1 care team. You will implement treatment plans under supervision, monitor progress, document responses, and assist with discharge planning.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. Key requirements include a Physical Therapy Assistant License and Basic Life Support at hire, plus an Associate's degree and graduation from an approved program.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapy Assistant License is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required at the time of hire.
• Associate's degree required.
• Graduate of a Program in Discipline required.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities.
• Seeks consultation as necessary.
• Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
• Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Assists with patient discharge planning. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
