Sigma Health Rehab is recruiting a per diem Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for Martine Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in White Plains, NY. The PTA will collaborate with the PT and therapy team to implement plan-of-care activities and support residents in daily tasks.

You will assist with therapy, monitor progress, and educate residents on equipment use, contributing to an effective rehabilitation program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities per plan of care set out by supervising PT.
• Assist residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor residents' performance in therapy activities and document progress.
• Teach residents how to use equipment to aid daily function.
• Collaborate with the PT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members.

Duties of an exceptional therapist include:

• Select therapy activities that follow the plan of care set out by the supervising occupational therapist
• Assist residents in carrying out daily activities.
