Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is recruiting a per diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) for Corning Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Corning, NY. The position supports rehabilitation services in a state-of-the-art rehab gym with therapists across disciplines.

New grads are welcome and mentorship is provided to develop clinical skills. As part of a compassionate care team, you’ll collaborate with the supervising OT and PT to implement plans of care, assist residents with daily activities,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program required.
• Active New York State PTA license required.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities that follow the plan of care set out by the supervising occupational therapist.
• Assist residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor residents' performance in therapy activities, provide encouragement and document on residents as needed.
• Teach residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function.
• Collaborate with the PT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members and contribute to team effort.

Education
