Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in a Skilled Nursing Facility in New York.

This full-time position requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and a New York license; prior SNF experience is preferred, but new graduates with fieldwork are encouraged to apply. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current New York State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage, assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Maintains Resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team.
