Job summary

PACS Group in Santa Cruz is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support our rehabilitation team in a skilled nursing facility. This role offers full-time, part-time, and PRN options with a focus on resident mobility, strength, balance, and independence under a licensed PT.

Ideal candidates are CA-licensed PTAs who have completed an accredited program, with excellent communication and documentation skills. SNF experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct PTA treatments per plan of care.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait, mobility, and functional activities.
• Document daily treatment sessions and progress in charting systems.
• Collaborate with therapists, nursing and rehab team to meet resident goals.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and safety.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and practice standards.
