Job summary

Pioneer Ridge Health & Rehab in Lawrence, Kansas is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support our senior residents in regaining mobility, strength, and independence. You will work with a dedicated therapy team to implement personalized treatment plans and educate residents and families.

Responsibilities include assisting therapists, evaluating mobility, documenting progress, and coordinating with the care team to ensure comprehensive services in a warm, family-owned community.

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for residents
• Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to identify areas of impaired mobility and function
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific impairments and goals
• Utilize a variety of techniques, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and education, to help residents achieve their goals
• Provide education and training to residents, families, and caregivers on proper techniques and strategies for maintaining independence
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services
• Monitor and document resident progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
