Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a full-time day shift. Join a fast-paced rehabilitation unit that provides inpatient services for stroke, spinal cord injuries, and complex orthopedic cases.

You will administer PT interventions under supervision, assist with mobility and exercise programs, and maintain documentation while ensuring a safe treatment environment. Active PTA license and CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree from a PTA program.
• Experience: Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
• License: Current PTA license in state of practice.
• Certifications: CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
• Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield is 60-bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries and other conditions. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

How You'll Contribute
