Job summary

Salinas Valley Post-Acute in Salinas, CA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our premier rehabilitation team. This role offers a supportive clinical environment and exposure to resident-centered care in a post-acute and long-term care setting.

As a PTA, you will work under a licensed PT to deliver therapeutic services, assist with exercises and mobility training, document progress, and participate in an interdisciplinary team focused on resident recovery and growth.

Qualifications

• Current, valid California Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in good standing.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or sub-acute environment preferred.
• Geriatric care oriented with compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality therapeutic services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility techniques per care plans.
• Monitor and document resident progress in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with PT, nursing staff, and medical team about resident status and goals.
• Educate residents and families on exercise programs, safety, and functional maintenance.
