Job summary

Pacific Coast Post-Acute in Salinas, CA is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT) for our in-house therapy program. This full-time role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse geriatric/rehabilitation caseload in a premier short-term rehab facility.

We welcome new graduates and internationally trained clinicians. The position includes H1B sponsorship, tuition reimbursement, and a supportive, growth-focused clinical team environment.

Qualifications

  • Current California Physical Therapist (PT) license in good standing.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for geriatric, sub-acute, and functional rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on resident goals and functional needs.
  • Provide skilled physical therapy interventions, including gait training, therapeutic exercise, balance training, manual therapy, and neuromuscular re-education.
  • Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes.
  • Guide residents through their rehabilitation journey from acute recovery toward safe discharge and community reintegration.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate effective, resident-centered care.
  • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) in accordance with California practice guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in care conferences, clinical meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
