Salinas Valley Post-Acute in Salinas, CA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our premier rehabilitation team. In this role you’ll support licensed therapists in delivering high-quality patient care in a geriatric post-acute setting.

Qualifications

• Current, valid California Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in good standing.
• Passion for serving geriatric and post-acute populations with compassion and clinical excellence.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or sub-acute environment preferred, but motivated clinicians from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality therapeutic services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility techniques per individualized care plans.
• Monitor and document resident progress in accordance with California state and federal guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with PT, nursing staff, and medical team regarding resident status and recovery goals.
• Educate residents and families through personalized exercise programs, safety training, and functional maintenance strategies.
