Job summary

Comprehensive Home Health Solutions is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our home health team serving Northern Nevada, including Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and surrounding areas. You will implement care plans, assist with gait training, and apply modalities to improve patients’ strength and mobility in their homes.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA in the state of practice.
• Graduate of a CAPTE-approved PTA program.
• Minimum 2 years of PTA experience; home health preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to lift and transfer patients weighing 150+ lbs.
• Criminal background check and state compliance required.
• Reliable transportation for home visits.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized PTA care plans under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises to improve strength and mobility.
• Assist patients in gait training using walkers, crutches, braces, and other mobility aids.
• Apply modalities such as ultrasound, NMES, hot/cold packs, and massage.
• Monitor and document patient progress; report significant changes to the PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.
• Maintain sterile procedures and clean therapy equipment.
• Participate in QA and in-service training to stay current with best practices.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Participate in quality assurance (QA) and in-service training to stay up to date with best practices.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program (CAPTE-approved).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a PTA (home health experience preferred).
• CPR certification (required).
• Ability to lift and transfer patients weighing 150+ lbs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and families.
• Must pass a criminal background check and meet all state compliance requirements.
• Comfortable traveling to patient homes (reliable transportation required).
